Can you get a sore throt if you have had your tonciles out?

I have had my tonciles out it was about 2 years ago.  I have been exposed to a lot of strep throat and I have now gotten a sore throt or atleast that is what it feel like.  Is this posable.....?

i got my tonsiles out this year because of constant tonsilitus. but now i have a sore throat all the time and im always thirsty. even wen im drinking something nothing works. i live in florida and like to sleep with my fan on but i cant because i wake up and my throat is very irritated and dry. please if anyone has a soln. help me. im desperate.

yes you can get a sore throat! you just wont get tonsillitis
