So im kinda scared....someone told me they check your (private ) and that they can tell if you've had sex....I recently had sex with my bf. I also took the morning after pill. (Plan b) Im 18. Um I do know that my medical records are now private to me . (At least here in texas) can someone please tell me how a check up goes for a 18 year old.

They might want to just check the outside but the state of Texas doesn't do ppaps for anyone under 21 unless there are special circunstances

I wouldn't really say no since you are sexually active.  If this is a normal general practitioner visit, you probably won't even have one.  You do need to start seeing a gynecologist now, though.

Thank for the tips.
It's only a yearly check up but I was just wondering if you have to take the test...like can you say no to it or is it mandatory?  Do you know ?

Your mom doesn't have to know you're sexually active.  She doesn't have to go to the doctor with you (if TX is anything like here in CA, you could've gone to the doctor alone at age 12 and they couldn't have told your parents).  It would be best they do check your private areas and perform a pap smear because you are sexually active since you have potentially been exposed to HPV and any other number of things due to this.  Better safe than sorry!  Your mom won't know about anything that goes on in the room.
