Condom confussion

Hello. So me and my boyfriend had protected sex. Nothing felt different, and anyway, every time we finish, he observes the condom to see that there isn´t a leak. After observing that there wasn´t a leak, he threw the condom to the floor and laid there for several hours. My intention was to check the condom (pouring water into it) afterwards. We live in a hot and humid place, so I woke up to see a condom full of little ants. And I mean FULL, almost covered. So I tossed them out and went over to the restroom to check it anyway. When I poured water into it, it started to come out through a pin hole, so I panicked and woke him up to tell him about it. We went over to the restroom, I poured water again, and slightly squeezed it. Now the water came out through lots of pin holes. Maybe a little more than 10 pin holes, even in the tip there were a few. Now, the first time I squeezed it, this didn´t happen. As I said it was only 1 or 2 holes. It happened on the second time. He´s absolutely sure that what caused this were the ants, because it laid there with them probably for hours and he´s sure he checked it when we were done having sex. He also said that whenever a condom breaks, he notices, either because of the sound or because he feels it on his penis. And also said that when it breaks, a hole pops at the tip due to the air inside the condom or lack of it (didn´t understand that quite well). The thing is that the whole situation sounds logic, but I can´t help being paranoic and thinking that maybe the condom broke during intercourse and may get pregnant. But don´t want to take the emergency pill! Help! Has anything like this happened to anybody?

I just had protected sex with this girl early saturday morning, and threw the condom on the floor because I felt it was wet and was slightly sliding off my penis. Today is monday and i usually check the condoms i use to make sure that it doesnt have leaks. When I saw the condom on the floor it was covered with ants(small and slightly bigger ones...I also have a slight ant problem). I cleaned where the condom was and checked the condom and saw 3 small holes. I'm kind of bugging out because im not trying to get anyone pregnant, I also have to add that I didnt come into the condom which is the reason I disgarded the way I did. I do know that I can get a girl pregnant by means of pre-come....Also, the girl was on her last day of her period Im worried as hell...Can anyone give me some advice.....

Hey! I got my period! so everything´s fine now... At last, I can be calm and relaxed... I guess IT WAS the ants, unbelievable right?! These are very stubborn ants... they like everything...
Anyway, thanks for answering! I´ll be more careful the next time! And by the way, I guess latex isn´t inmune to everything, or these are a strong kind of ants, they´re called "sugar ants"...

Oh god, now i´m worried.
I read lots of comments that said that when a condom breaks, it´s catastrophic and you notice it almost right away. I also read that it is very strange for a condom to have holes. When they break, they rip, or they tear at the tip... Anyway, my boyfriend said he checked it afterwards and nothing was different.
Another strange fact is that ants are a real problem here. They´re everywhere and pierce/destroy everything... but anyway, I will consult my doctor just to be sure. Thanks!

Hello,
It is very less likely for the latex of the condoms to be eaten away by the ants. The condoms may have got holes. You should get your pregnancy status checked from a gynecologist.

im currently having the same situation im having my period in a couple of days and afraid an ecp will even delay the period which will make me paranoid even more. we change condoms every after 10 mins or so which is very less likely to get rip like that (it has very small holes which look like something caused by ants)

Hi, bbrsds, it's kind of hard to tell what you're talking about. Are you saying you had a condom in use and determined it had holes in it and now you're considering taking an emergency contraceptive even though your period is due in only 2 days? I wouldn't bother with the morning-after pill if my period was so close.
