Confused..

My last period was way off, normally I am a heavy bleeder and I usually my period last six to seven days. This time my period was only four days and was light all except 2 and only one day was heavy the other medium. It's been almost three weeks since my last period and I have had bad cramping and then nausea on and off but I haven't actually thrown up. Could it simply be that my cycle is changing or does it sound like I could be pregnant?  I have had one child but I didn't feel like this till much later into my pregnancy. Would it be too soon to take a test?
