Discharge (Smelly)
This started 3 months ago, me and my boyfriend got back together after 3 weeks of being separated. We had sex that night, a week after I got my period and after I was off my period I noticed a yellowish smelly discharge on my underwear . Ever since I've had that discharge and its worst few days after sex or after I'm off my period. I'm scared to go to the doctor what if it's something bad ?? It bothers me , because the discharge is a lot sometimes and smells like something fishy . This has never happened to me. By the way I'm 20
Semen can cause bacterial vaginosis. If he came in you then thats likely what caused it. Another common cause is from douching.

Thank you so much ! I will defenitaly be making an appointment with my doctor. What exactly is a swab just wondering ? And what do you mean by "if it's not eradicated" ? Also, do you know what exactly causes these type of infections ?

Hi there. I would see your doctor and have a swab done. I do not recall semen ever smelling. A fishy odor is a classic sign of bacterial vaginosis. I would guess that this is what is going on. It is not serious by any means and common so do not be afraid of the doctor. You will have to take antibiotics to treat it if that is what the doctor determines it is. Then if it is not eradicated, both you and your boyfriend take the antibiotics (your doctor prescribes them) but hopefully it can be knocked out with the first round. Wear loose fitting clothing if possible, cotton underwear that you change frequently (especially if sweaty or damp like after a work out). Never douche. But again, see your doctor as this is the classic symptom profile of bacterial vaginosos. good luck
Well, semen tends to stain white linen a pale yellow tint, and can certainly have a pungent odour.
yes he has , and is that "semen" bad ? I've done some research and all I come up with is a vaginal infection
Has your boyfriend stopped using a condom? (If so, I'm suspecting that's semen.)
