First appt with gynecologist

Tomorrow is my first time going to the gynecologist at 33. I had never gone because I have always had a fear. I don’t have abnormal periods. They are always 28 days. No bleeding in between and no pains in general. Could there be something wrong with me?

Is the fear you have, of the appointment or of finding out that something is wrong? It doesn't sound like anything is wrong, and it's a good idea to finally get to a gynecologist.

Every woman should have a Pap smear, pelvic exam and breast exam done on a regular basis. Tell the ob/gyn that this is your first time and you're nervous, and things should go OK. The only part you will find uncomfortable is when the doc uses a speculum to open your vagina, but breathe deeply a few times, it goes by quickly enough.

I think it’s the fear of finding out that something is wrong. But I guess since I don’t have any symptoms of anything, I think I should be ok! Thank you
