First time having sex

I just got married this past saturday, my wedding night was my first time trying to have sex, and the pain was unbearable,  my husband couldn’t  penetrate me. We were advised to get a jelly this has helped a little as he penetrated half way. I still havr unimaginable pain as i dread him coming near. WWhat do i do to make  the pain go away?

Hi there and welcome.  Congrats on the marriage!!  I'm sorry you are having this difficulty.  It SHOULD get better.  I would try to relax.  That WILL help.  Yes, lubrication also helps so keep using the product you have. The vagina is made to stretch (we have babies through it and all) so know that this should get better.  Very rarely, women have a condition in which they do have this pain and that is something to discuss with your doctor.  I would keep trying to see if this gets better and stay positive.  Sex is enjoyable and will feel good eventually.  Do lots of foreplay to help.  If it does not get better with many efforts of trying, then talk to your ob/gyn.  good luck

He's only making it halfway, so it's sounding like your hymen's pretty robust (and still intact), and his unsuccessful attempts will continue to be very painful for you.   If this is the case, your doctor can arrange for the minor surgical assistance useful in opening the passage.
