No, don't take more emergency contraceptives, it is horrible for your body to take them and doesn't sound necessary so close to the last dose. As the other ladies have said, stop having unprotected sex. ECP is not candy, it is closer to poison, so get on any other kind of birth control before you have any more sex. The guy should be wearing a condom, simply because of STDs, anyway.

Hi, trying to follow your story.  So, you were a virgin and had sex for the very first time and you had bleeding for 7 days?  Hm.  We can bleed when our hymen breaks for sure but 7 full days would be a bit much.  Sure it wasn't your period?

The way emergency contraception works is that it is a big dose of hormones that 'upset things' so that you can't conceive.  It has to be taken 72 hours after the unprotected episode.  It WILL mess your cycle up after and you will probably be irregular for 2 to 3 months.  This is because all the hormones that make it so you can't get pregnant are still there in your system mixing with your hormones.  Hormone overload.  You might have lots of symptoms like bloating, nausea, headache, pms symptoms.  That's all pretty normal.

That you immediately had unprotected sex again, ugh.  You have got to be more responsible if you are going to be sexually active.  Condoms are NOT expensive.  Buy some before you wind up with a baby before you are ready and have to make some hard decisions!  Just giving some tough talk here because you sound like you know you don't want to get pregnant at all, so you just have to use prevention, hon!!

What is the withdrawal bleeding you are talking about----  from sex or from the emergency pill.  I'm a little confused.

I do doubt you would have gotten pregnant if the second unprotected sex was very close to when you took the ECP.  Hormones too wacky to think you ovulated during that time.  But honestly, you never know.

Remember ECP is for emergencies. You use it sparingly, reserve it.  Using it more than once a year is a lot.  So, keep that in mind.  The after affect of the ECP means you will not know when you ovulate again and you will have to be vigilant about BC.  You can take a test 2.5 weeks after the last unprotected episode to get an accurate result if pregnant or not.  Guessing not.  But that is a guess.

Do they have planned parenthood near you?  That is a great resource for teens working through these issues.

good luck

ECP is a very high dose of hormones, you need to be very careful when taking them.  If you don't want to get pregnant, I'd highly recommend, for your future health, getting on the regular pill or deciding on another method that you use regularly instead of taking the ECP with each unprotected encounter.  Before taking more- give your doctor a call and see what they recommend, since you haven taken it just a short time ago.  Let us know how you are doing!
