How to deal with on going problems?

To start off I have been suffering with stomach problems for years and now heart symptoms. I went to my new doctor today to try to get reffered to a different GI doctor because they dont do anything for me anymore besides give me acid reducers that dont really help and I barely get to see the actal GI doctor anymore. They should be trying to figure out whats causing my stomach to produce to much acid. If they figure that out maybe then they could help me feel better. Its like they have given up on me since I had my gallbladder removed in 2011. I also wanted to see a Cardiologist to check out my heart. I have got a chest ultrasound done but never heard back on my test results. So my doctor today just told me to try to schedule appointments with them then if I need to be reffered she could do it. She said she dont think my heart symptoms are really anything to worry about or that its linked to my stomach issues but my grandma gets real gassy and her Cardio doctor told her it was her heart causing it. So since Im always getting gas pains I want to just get it checked out to be on the safe side. My grandpa also had similar stomach issues for years doctors never figured anything out. He didnt get better until he had heart surgery. My doctor also said I need to watch what I eat but it dont seem to make a difference and it dont make any sense normal people can eat whatever they want with no problems but with me I can feel real sick if I wait to long to eat or right after I eat. I hate living my life at my age not knowing how Im going to feel on a daily basis. It gets depressing and its hard to deal with. Its like the doctors don't know whats wrong with me so they just blow me off. I feel like im losing hope and like Im just going to be stuck living my life this way. I dont think doctors understand how bad it can get and make me feel. I just want to be normal again. Everyone tells me to go to the doctor but I have several times and it dont do any good. Nothing changes it just gets more depressing. I basically just wanted to rant. My question is how many people on here have actally been to several doctors over an ongoing problem with no help? How do you deal with it?

Hi, I was dignosed with gastritis back in 2009 the first time I ever went to the doctor over my symptoms and kept vomiting that day. Gateritis is suppose to go away on its own but its been years and other doctors have said its just acid reflux and they thought getting my gallbladder out would fix everything but it didnt. Im not usually in pain unless I got gas pains and that can last for several hours when that happens so I take beno all the time. I have tried just about every antiacid reducer available. It only helps for a few hours then I have to eat or I feel aweful then after I eat I start feeling sick as well. Im currently on Protonix 40mg twice a day. It dont seem to matter what I do I still feel like crap pretty much daily. I have took Omeprazole, Rantac and sucralfate. I have had 2 upper endoscopys. One before my surgery which I spent the night before the Endoscopy throwing up acid every 15 minutes the other endoscopy I had a year ago. Both times my GI doctor just told me I produce to much acid. I have been tested for ulcers and have had multiple lab tests done. They wont do anything else for me anymore besides keep me on my acid reducers I dont even get to see my real GI doctor anymore so I think they have given up on me. Fruits and Veggies make me get gas pains and yogurt and ice cream can as well. Then other days Im fine can eat whatever I want but that dont happen very often. Raiseing my bed up dont help and it dont bother me laying down right after I eat it actally kind of helps me espically if im gassy and keep belching. It helps relieve some of the pressure so I can breath better. I really dont know what Im suppose to do anymore doctors dont seem like they do either or like they get how sick I really can feel. :(

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
At your age, cardiac causes are less likely. These pains look like gastritis. Drink plenty of water to detoxify the body. Also take an antacid or a H2 blocker like Rantac or a PPI inhibitor drug like Omeprazole or sucralfate containing anatacids after consulting your doctor.
Further, avoid eating any junk food or oily, spicy food. Take a healthy, balanced and nutritious diet consisting more of fruits, salads, soups and raw vegetables (after proper washing). Try raising the head end of your bed by at least two blocks and take your meals 2 hrs prior to bedtime.
If the symptoms persist then get an upper GI endoscopy done to rule out peptic ulcer disease.
It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
