I am really scared, I need opinions. Please help me!

I am going to start by listing my symptoms, and I'm going to say that no I am not pregnant, I am a virgin.
Symptoms include:
Severe pain in abdomen- like menstrual cramps. Has been going on for several days, with ibuprofen lessens to a dull ache.
Back pain- linked with the abdomen pain, it's like what you feel on your period.
Nausea- general
Feeling constpated- but the pain is not from being constipated it's different.
Bloating
Loss of appetite- I feel full very quickly.
Frequent urge to urinate/frequent urination- and when I feel like I need to go it has to be right then.
Irregular period- I've gone eight months before without having one, right now I haven't had my period for four months.
Heavy period- when I do get my period though, I'm using five to six super absorbency tampons a day for at least seven days.
I went to the doctor yesterday afternoon because I know he's obviously the best person to tell my symptoms to and he ordered an ultrasound sometime today or tomorrow at my local hospital. He wasn't specific about what could be wrong, though he was asking questions like he had an idea in mind. I haven't gone to any sites like WebMD because those always just scare me, but I really wanted opinions from people who may have experienced or are experiencing this. I'm scared, I've had painful ovarian cysts in the past but it was nothing like this. Am I just coming up on my menstrual cycle and I'm overreacting? I haven't been able to go to class because of the pain. I'm really scared I've been noticing these symptoms for a long time now but I had to do something when the pain got bad. I am not pregnant, I'm a virgin. Please help me.

Hello The best way to solve this issue and to not be scared is to see your doctor.  :>)  Are you of age where you can go to the doctor by yourself?  If not, talk to your mom.  How long has this been going on?  in general, you do not write of anything that I find concerning.  But since you are concerned, see a doctor to give you that full reassurance.  Things that can cause these symptoms include a simple (non serious) cyst that will pass on its own and then it feels like a super heavy period--  all women will get these at times and again, they are not serious.  Your hormones could be fluctuating.  It could be different and unrelated things.  Irritable bowel syndrome and constipation can present in people in different ways.  My son was diagnosed with chronic constipation even when he had regular bowel movements. So, really, you just need to go see your doctor for an exam.  Women are supposed to go annually so, set up the appointment.  good luck  (if you have no insurance, look for a clinic or Planned Parenthood near you.)
