Dent in labia majora..?

I've never really noticed it until recently, but I have a "dent" of sorts on my right labia majora. It's not in any way painful or even an open sore. It just feels like there is tissue missing underneath. It's just large enough to fit the tip of my index finger. A number of months ago, I went in to have my first pap smear and the doctor had asked surprised, "Wow, did you ever hurt yourself??" At that I was even more surprised so I asked her what she meant, but she never said anything. I'm not worried because no other doctors have said anything about it, but it was just odd she'd say that. Like I said, I'm not in the least bit worried about it, but I was wondering if there's an actual term for it or if anyone else has the same thing?
