I haven't had my period for 3 months.

I'm 16, have had my period for 3 years without missing a cycle, haven't had sex, and I've just recently stopped having my period. I'm not sure whether I should tell my mom or go to the doctor because I know that sometimes when you're first starting your period it might go away for a couple months before coming back, but I haven't missed a cycle for 3 years. Should I tell someone?

Hello!
Yes. You should have this checked out. Most of the time interruptions in regular monthly cycles are caused by pregnancy, anemia, or unusual stresses on the body like training for a marathon. So, if you haven't been sexually active in the past 5 months, and you aren't doing hard-core training, I'd bet on a condition which needs to be evaluated by your doctor...~MM
