I'm 21. What can I expect from my upcoming colposcopy?

I am 21 years old. Over the last few months, I've had a pap smear come back with ASCUS, been diagnosed with HPV, have experienced symptoms like bleeding after sex, leucorrhoea, more clotting than usual during periods and a cervix that appears "unhealthy" to my gynecologist's eye? My latest pap smear indicates that I no longer have ASCUS, yet my leucorrhoea and somewhat abnormal periods persist. My gynecologist is now insisting that I go in for a colposcopy. Considering all of the symptoms above, is there a chance that I have CIN or a more serious condition? Basically, what can I expect from the results of the biopsy (assuming there is one)? And why do I still have the symptoms listed above?
