I'm a mess!!! HELP PLEASE!!!

I've been sexually active with my boyfriend for a year. Everything was great! It never EVER hurt, and we'd have sex like 3 times a day every day. About 6 months ago I started having pain during intercourse, not on my cervix but more like a stinging on the "wall?" of my vagina. It would only hurt if we did it multiple times in a day or every day. Every other day was fine. I tried giving my vagina a rest thinking that we were just over doing it. Still no luck. Now I'm cramping ALL the time, I constantly feel like I'm premenstral. There's a fishy/metalic odor that has recently shown up but my discharge looks normal not green or yellow like I've read it can be. It just feels irritated down there all the time. I've been to the doctor and been tested for STD's, which all came out negative. They don't think its cancer or PID or endometriosis. I'm sick of spending hundreds of dollars on doctor visits for them to say "I dunno??" has anyone else had this?? or known someone, I just want answers. I'm a very clean hygienic person I'm sick of feeling like the smelly kid. Most of all I'm sick of being in constant pain.

it sounds like you may have BV or bacterial vaganosis. this can cause a fishy smell, discharge, pain and irritation. you need to see your gynecologist and have them do a pelvic exam, they will swab your vagina and you should get results fairly soon. if it's positive they will give you a 7 day round of antibiotics. this infection is often caused by having sex with multiple people or having sex with someone who has had sex with multiple people. if this is positive i suggest having your boyfriend get checked and taking the antibiotics as well. good luck.
