Is it a yeast infection or dryness

Hi, im 17 and im a virgin. Recently, id say about 2 days ago, i had a slight itch around my vaginal opening. It became constant, but there wasn't any odor and there's no increase in my discharge. I went to shower and cleaned myself, but a few seconds after, the itching became intense and started to burn. I looked up why and it kept saying it could be a yeast infection but i have no abnormal discharge or odor, but even the slightest movement sends a burning sensation all around that area...can someone give me some idea of what i should do and what this is?
And im not sexually active.

Yep, it does sound like a yeast infection.  Yeast infections really don't smell a lot.  The hallmark sign is itching.  They do often produce a profuse discharge that is chunky but not always.  And that burning is also very common with yeast infections.  They can be quite uncomfortable.  If you've never had one, they say they want a doctor to see you to diagnose officially.  Planned Parenthood can do this or your regular GP or Gyn.  ALL women get yeast infections and usually with nothing to do with sex.  They happen when the PH of your vagina gets out of whack. This can happen for different reasons.  If you take an antibiotic, for example.  Yeast overgrowth can just happen.  Eating probiotic yogurt, drinking some of the probiotic drinks or taking a probiotic supplement can help prevent it.  Also, wearing cotton underwear, changing when damp (such as after exercising), and occasionally airing out (like sleeping without undies) help. Cut down on sugar too.  Treatment is easy.  A doctor can prescribe a pill you take that wipes it out.  Or you can use over the counter products gotten at any drug store or grocery store.  I like Monostat one day and for me, that one ovule clears up yeast infections completely.  I use it before I go to bed and wear a pad for 24 hours.  They also make these wipes like vagisil wipes which help with the itch and is for vaginal fungal infections like yeast infections.  You can use them too.  Anyway, you can also tell your mom, she'll understand.  Again, this is a common thing women get.  Babies get yeast infections, hon.  good luck
