Is it normal to have brown blood clots for 2 wks after period cycle?

I have always had heavy periods but one they're done, they're done. I have veen spotting for 2 weeks now since my last period. I've noticed dark brown blood clots. I can't have intercourse either because my body will not self lubricate.

I don't think a pap smear has anything to do with checking your hormone levels. I would agree with the above poster that seeing your doc is a good idea.

I meant as far as having an std
As far as I'm aware, spotting brown blood is not an STD symptom either. It makes me think of an early miscarriage (undetected) with retained tissue, or just weird hormonal activity. Both things are for the doctor to diagnose.
Actually it can be an std symptom. https://www.md-health.com/Brown-Vaginal-Discharge.html.  STDs. A light brown discharge can be an early symptom of a sexually transmitted disease (STD). The most common STDs that cause a discharge include chlamydia, trichomoniasis, gonorrhea, and genital warts.

I have gotten brown spotting though in between cycles and it is very common--  agree that  it is likely due to hormonal activity.

Hi there.  Well, brown blood, brown blood clots are old blood.  This happens in between cycles and we call it spotting.  It can happen due to hormonal dysregulation.  Although some women get it when they are actually ovulating which would make sense for the timing you are explaining (middle of a cycle). If you are sexually active, it is wise to get checked for STD's which also unfortunately can cause this type of spotting.  And of course, you aren't pregnant, are you?  https://www.webmd.com/women/spotting-between-periods

That you also have issues with lubrication, that sounds hormonal in nature.  Please know you can still have sex, just use artificial lubricant.  :>))

Do you have a doctor you can see?  That would be best at this point.  Let me know how it goes!

I've never spotted in between cycles before, thats why I'm concerned. Ialso know it's old blood. I had a pap recently and nothing abnormal came up. That was 3 months ago. I guess I could go get tested again, but I've been with the same man for the past 4 years. I'm currently on the depo shot and just got my second round about a week ago. I've been on it before but never spotted with it. I don't know, it's just weird.
