Itching, and redness..

Lately my entire vaginal area has been itching like crazy, non stop. I've also noticed a darkish red color instead of the average pink. It's also swelling up pretty bad. There is a white, creamy (in an odd way) discharge just recently. I've been sexually active with a new guy for about 3 weeks now, and these things appeared just last weekend or so, and progressed over time. It got really really bad though, beyond the occasional itch right after the last time we had sex. He was a little sick still, so could that be the cause? Any ways I can keep the itching away? It's getting unbearable. Also, I don't know if this is related, but my clitoris, right at the tip, has been very very sensitive for quite some time now. Playing with it has hurt me, and any touch can make me cringe. I can't see a doctor right now- but please give me some suggestions or answers- anything!

ps--> planned parenthood or a free pregnancy/sexual place should check it out free or low cost to you and it will be confidential

sounds like yeast, but you should be checked out reguardless since you are with a new sexual partner and stds usually take 2-3 weeks to pop up

and get checked soon because yeast can be passed in between you both and never get resolved

I have no idea what that would be - but I hope you are practising safe sex if this is a new partner, until you both are tested for stds. That's not preaching - it's just a matter of avoiding stds which you may have now...

It sounds like you may have a bad case of Thrush. If you go to the pharmacy and get a pessary with cream, it should help.

The pessary should kill the infection within about 24-48 hours and the cream will help sooth it until then.

Avoid using soaps (use intimae hygiend wash only) and wera cotton panties. Avoid wearing tight clothing and I think thats it really.

If it persists then contact your doctor. Canestan make a good pessary and cream.

If you think that it is a std, then I wouldnt really be able to offer you any advice, but to the way you have described it it seems like thrush.
