Labia minora felt swollen and thickened. Why was this given my situation?

Hello I went out with some friends yesterday night and drank some Alcohol. I sobered up with my friends at their house and we just talked and laughed and had fun. I wanted to use the toilet but I didn’t ask to because I was wearing a complex bodysuit and it would be too much hassle so I decided to wait until I got home. Walking home I was i had no choice but to essentially wet myself outside a building as I was so desperate to use the toilet - my mistake. I was alone so no-one saw. I walked home in these wet clothes (10 minute walk max) and showered as soon as I was in the house. The next day I woke up completely fine but by late morning/afternoon I noticed my labia minora/vagina lips sort of slowly getting more and more swollen and uncomfortable throughout the day to the point they were chafing. There was no strange discharge or anything crazy like that but they were definitely swollen. This swelling is something ive had in the past whenever I had vaginal infections and so on but those lasted more than just one day and those came with horrid discharge. What could have caused this sensation? I was ovulating if that helps anything. I also wore a bodysuit that got damp more recently and noticed the next day some very very very mild swelling/heat of my labia minora. Why does this happen? What could the explanation be please

Your complex bodysuit might just be too complex for your tender tissues in the nether region. I'd wear a pad (the kind they sell as "pantiliners" or "light day") in your situation if I were wearing a bodysuit, and see if an infection or irritated reaction happens then. If it does not, it's possible it comes from the garment. If it seems to be related to the bodysuit it could be because it gives the area a lot of pressure, or it could be something that triggers an allergy (the elastic plus the pressure), or it could be the lack of air flow because of the close-pored fabric of the bodysuit. (There is a reason they recommend women wear cotton underwear.) If it's the lack of air flow, a pad might not help, but then again it might, especially if you change it each time you use the loo, because it will mean less bacteria sitting against your tissues.
