Light bleeding between my periods..?

Hello. I am a 26 y/o female. Yesterday I experienced light bleeding even thought I had my period 2 1/2 weeks ago. I have never bled between periods so it's freaking me out.. The blood was kind of watery but a tan/ light pink color and there were a few little bright red dots.. i don't know how to explain them.. anyways I know this could be a number of things.. but I was just wondering if this is a normal thing to happen? I have been stressed and sick for 2 weeks with bronchitis so maybe that has something to do with it.. I'm just worried that it's something bad like cancer because I do have the cervical cancer virus, but I got checked 4 months ago and havent had anything come up in 5 years. I doubt it's that... or maybe I'm pregnant? I don't know.. any thoughts would help me.. thank you!

Hello hun, specialmom is right...and were women...and it ***** haha. Cycles can be off for a reason or no reason what so ever and it stinks to have to deal with it. Just wanted to add that i had it at one point and i found out it was from inflammation from BV and before i found out from the test results my doctor thought that it was PID(pelvic imflammatory disease). You could make a visit to ur gyno just to be sure, its better safe than sorry. Good luck and hope this helped a little and keep us posted.

Hi there and welcome.  Well, periods and cycles can be really off and odd at times.  Break through bleeding like you describe does happen.  I'd wait and see if you have any more or if anything else develops.  Sometimes an infection can cause this, a blip in hormones, some women report they get this during ovulation (I never have), the coughing could be involved, etc.  So, see if you get your period on schedule.  If it is late, take a pregnancy test.  And just start tracking it.  If it becomes a pattern or other odd things happen, see your doctor to find out why your hormones are out of sync.  peace an dluck
