chronic vaginitis

I've have seen multiple doctors over the past year for yeast infection like symptoms.  Vaginal discharge, usually cottage cheese like, itching, burning, severe irritation. I have had multiple cultures, yeast typing, std testing done & repeated all of which come back normal. I've treated w/ Diflucan, Treconazale, Estrace, and OTC yeast meds. Today I saw my 3 doc who told gave a rx for boric acid capsules & told me that sometimes women just have to deal with it & eventually it goes away. I don't understand how I am suppose to just deal w/it & hope it goes away. I feel like I have been walking around w/a severe yeast infection for over a year now & so far noone can figure out what's wrong. I was also instructed to call back in 2 wks if the boric acid didnt work, there's no need for them to examine me anymore or do any more tests since everything's come back normal. I just want to know what's wrong w/me & how to fix it. Is there any help out there? Does anyone have any ideas?

I have the exact same symptoms and story. Did you ever find out what was wrong? And if so, what was the cure for it?

I feel so bad that you are going through this frustratedgirl11.  There is a book my mother in law gave me maybe 20 years ago, I know.  Long time.  And I think I just stacked it on our bookshelf.  It is about candida in the body.  A whole book on it.  I'm going to find it and see if it has anything in it to help you.
Thank you. I appreciate that. I have tried the candida diet and I saw no change at all. The only way is to find a person who went through it and now knows what it is.
