Low-dose birth control pills that don't cause weight gain or acne?

I just need suggestions for birth control pills that are good for people who are extremely sensitive to hormones. I've had the Mirena IUD, which didn't cause me to gain weight, but caused my skin to look awful and other issues. I know every person reacts differently to birth controls, but I'm really starting to feel like there is nothing out there for me. I just don't want to gain weight or get acne.

I've been looking into Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo, Lo Loestrin, Loestrin 24 and Levora. Does anything have any suggestions for me?

I have been taking Cryselle (thats the generic name - I think it may be the Lo Loestrin but check with you dr).  I have been on it for a few years now and haven't had any problems with weight.  I may get a zit here and there but NOTHING near a breakout by any means.

I've taken birth control pills before and was really good about taking them every day. I don't think I will get any sort of IUD put in again because my last one gave me two infections, which I don't want to have to deal with again. Plus, I already have a ridiculously heavy period and don't want to risk making it worse.

Thanks for the advice though! :)

Another option to consider is the Paragard IUD. It doesn't have hormones and the only thing you might get is heavier periods/cramping--but this doesn't even happen to all women. The only thing about low dose birth controls is that you have to take them perfectly. There is no room to mess up, as they're very easy to fall pregnant on if you do.

My doctor just prescribed me Microgestin 1.5/30, which is generic for Loestrin 1.5/30. I'm a little concerned because I think the lower-dose is 1/20. Hopefully it works out and doesn't cause me too many issues. :/ We'll see..

Yasmin was horrible for me!  I asked my dr during my last annual about switching...commercials make you curious...and she did not recommend it at all. Make sure you ask if the generic is cryselle (my pack doesn't say).  With hormone issues its definately been the best for me.  You'll know within the first month or two if it works for you.  Good luck!

Yeah, I've also tried many too, which is why I'm so hesitant. :/ I don't mind getting an occasional pimple, but Mirena gave me constant acne all over my forehead and chest. That I cannot deal with. Yasmin also didn't work for me at all. I think I will check with my doctor about Lo Loestrin!

Also, I have very high estrogen levels so adding more of the hormone effects me badly.  I haven't had any negative effects with the hormones on this pill...and I've been on many, many, many!
