Marks on my labia?

I understand that this question is disgusting, but, I'm a teenager, and I'm scared to death. I've found several moles on my labia, and one of them is underneath where my vagina ends. I wasn't concerned about this because none of them have caused me any kind of pain, and I figured since I have moles in a number of weird places, this was no different. However, after reading about melanoma, I'm basically scared out of my wits. The moles are flat, symmetrical, dark brown, and there is no itching, hurting, bumps, lesions, rashes, or changes in texture. The thing that scares me the most is that the mark I specified is oval in shape, but fades out slightly towards one end. I get how completely nasty this question but, please help, I'm afraid I'm going to die.

It's hard to get skin cancer in your crotch unless you regularly try to tan it, which I'm guessing you don't do.  The signs of melanoma are ABCDE: Asymmetrical, irregular Borders, varied Color, large Diameter (size of pencil eraser), and Evolves over time.  In addition, if it's rigid, growing, and elevated, it's a bad sign.  You're quite young to be getting skin cancer (it does happen, but the vast majority of the time it's people who tan obsessively at a young age).  If your mole only fits one or two of the ABCDE signs, I wouldn't worry.  I think oval is ok for a mole (I certainly have some like that), and some moles are raised, but not oddly colored or with weird borders.

Do you normally get this anxious about other things?  Excessive anxiety with multiple things is a horrible thing to live with, and it's treatable with therapy.  Not saying it necessarily applies to you, but it's something to think about (of course, having no background other than the internet when it comes to health topics can be enough to scare anyone).

If you're still really concerned about it, ask a dermatologist to take a look.  Unless they're busy growing at a fast rate, you can wait til your next physical and ask your GP about it, and ask them for a referral.

Thanks for your answers! I feel so much better now. Yes, I am an anxious person, and stress easily over things (and I have tons of greys because of it -.- ). The thing was, when I first saw them, I didn't take them seriously, because there's quite a few, and I have moles in odd places all over me. It wasn't till a chance Google check that I found out that a lot of these cases were linked to melanoma.
Thankfully though, none of those moles fit any descriptors, and since they aren't bothering me, I don't see the need for a physician, especially since I can't tan, and don't want to anyway. Again, thanks a lot for your answers, and I'll be sure to keep an eye on them! :)

Hi Brown, as you can see these I take you shave then, its ok its a healthy way to be, the only time you have to worry is that if these moles start going a differant shape or size, as long as you make it a routine to have a look once a week you should be OK.
Hope this helps
Good Luck
