Menstrual cups

Wondering if anyone has had any luck with a menstrual cup. I'm currently using the diva cup step 2, but I find I can only wear it at nighttime. When I move around too much during the day like walking ect. I find it doesn't stay in place.

I have four sisters, and when we were teenagers, we tried menstrual cups. Consistently none of us could use them, as you say, they move and slip when the woman walks. There must be someone in the world who doesn't have this issue because companies keep making them, but it really doesn't make a lot of sense. The body is so flexible that a rigid cup would slip, and if a cup was that flexible it wouldn't stay anywhere reliably either.

I know there are lots of other cups besides the Diva cup, and perhaps one of those cups would be a better fit for me and maybe stay in place, but due to the cost, I'm looking at between $60-$80 dollars if I want to buy a few different ones to try out! I have two friends that use them, one uses diva and the other uses luna, and they have no issues at all. My one friend even plays soccer with her cup in and has no issues!

I've personally never tried the cups.  The idea of cleaning that doesn't appeal to me.  But I can see how it may be more environmentally friendly?  Women sleep in these? What happens if "your cup runneth over"?

I don't necessarily find it gross to deal with, but I just wish the damn thing would stay in properly LOL. It is more environmentally friendly, but I wanted to try it due to the fact that you can just put it in and go and not have to worry about it for hours! I've personally never filled the whole thing, even on a heavy day, but I imagine it wouldn't be pretty if it started to spill over. I love sleep with it in. I don't have to worry about leaking or having to get up every 2 hours and change my tampon.
Well, ya.  It would need to stay in place.  That's a given.  lol  Hm.  Yes, it would be nice to not have to worry about night time.  But the spill over part would be my concern.  What happens if it fills? For me, when I'm out and about, it would be nice to not have to change tampons so I'd like that better during the day if it stayed put and lasted longer than a couple of hours.
I used it once during the day on a heavy day and had it in for 9 hours. It was pretty full that time, but not leaking. However, I was so paranoid that I wore a pad as a backup and had tampons just in case.
Okay, so then do you dump it in the toilet and wash it out?  (insert face that says, not sure about that. . .   )
Yup, that is exactly what I do, so it can be a bit off putting when it looks like a murder scene in the toilet LOL
murder scene in the toilet, lol.
