Normal Anatomy of the "Lady Nether Regions"

I know this may be a bit too much, but i'm curious.  Soooooo...I recently bought a menstrual cup and noticed that it wouldn't open all of the way inside of my vagina. So, I began to take a finger and feel around and check what's going on. I noticed and remembered that there is this thick flesh that just hangs down (it feels kinda long??). Also, what I mean by thick is that it has the width of two wooden (standard number 2) pencils that are placed side by side. I continued to poke around and noticed that at the end there is this small indenture.

This fleshy thing, I can put my finger in front of it and behind it without a problem. Tampons don't interfere with it, there's no pain...etc. It only conflicts with the menstrual cup that I am attempting to use. I went to the Gynocologist a year back and he said that everything's normal in there, but what in the heck is that fleshy thing? Is it really normal like my ob/gyn said?  Does everyone have it? No way that could be my cervix.

I fail to see what you're getting at. Also, I don't exactly find this question funny, not to say the least.  Please treat this seriously, I don't have the patience for people finding this funny...It's kind of rude.

"if I think it is what I think it is..." What DO you think it is?

I meant to ask when I was in there, but I forgot (because it was my first time getting a pap smear). I don't think it's the cervix because I shouldn't be able to by pass it and shove my finger deeper in same with tampons.

Is a Hymen supposed to be that thick though? The only thing the ob/gyn said was that everything looked normal so I didn't think about it until I tried that menstrual cup.

I'm determined to find out now. Can't schedule an appointment because of the fact that I have to pinch pennies...that and there's not a good time in my work schedule.

I understand what your talking about. Did you ask the ob/gyn what it was? What did they say?  Everyone I have asked told me it was either my hymen or cervix but im not sure.
