The link I posted has info on the LEEP procedure!!
yeah i just have not been having any luck with my questions lol
People typically don't give answers if they don't have them.
why dont you call around a couple diff dr offices and do some research that way. That is what i did when i didn't hear the info i wanted, i just called and got other professionals oppinions and most of the time the nurse may know, just start out by saying im having a prob and may switch my dr, so i wanted to know if you can help me out.
Either way im sure everything will be okay. Good luck, ill try and digg up some infor for you with my research skills!
ha No one has been answering me either.
They do not hook you up to anything when you have a LEEP. They give you numbing stuff with a needle "down there". I had one when I was about 20 and they burned out cancer causing cells...you can actually... (tmi) smell burning flesh. This website should give you all the info you need.

opps - 3rd paragraph should read:
"So.... a cone biopsy might be considered synonymous with a LEEP (if LEEP is used to remove the tissue for the cone biopsy) but a LEEP isnt necessarily the same thing as a cone biopsy. If "cone biopsy" was written on your paperwork then it sounds like that is what was done and it was performed using LEEP."
This is my understanding from research I have done but I am nothing close to a medical expert.
A cone biopsy is a procedure in which a cone-shaped piece of tissue is removed from the cervix. There are three ways in which this can be achieved and a LEEP is one of them. A LEEP can also be used to remove smaller, less deep, tissue samples which are not cone shaped and will be less invasive than a LEEP used for a cone biopsy.
So.... a cone biopsy might be considered synonymous with a LEEP (if LEEP is used to remove the tissue for the cone biopsy) but a LEEP isnt necessarily the same thing as a cone biopsy using the LEEP. If "cone biopsy" was written on your paperwork then it sounds like that is what was done and it was performed using LEEP.
Sorry I cant be of more help. If you have any concerns about this you need to call the doctor who performed the surgery to get answers to your questions. They will be able to tell you exactly what you need to know.
This might get more answers in the fertility forum.
