PMS - No Period

LMP 10/20/2011, LMP before that 02/15/2011 (forced)

For the last few months (since LMP) I feel the symptoms of but never actually start my period.  Currently I am tired, achy, moody, experience a change in my sex-drive, and have sore breasts (easily the worst of the problems!)  Also, I feel a sharp cramping pain for about a day or two and I feel this way monthly but I never actually have menses.  What could be causing this?   Also, is it possible that I still ovulate and would it be possible to get pregnant without having a period?

My first thought is that it's unlikely you are ovulating if you have so few periods/yr, so you have a very low chance of pregnancy. Several causes for irregular cycles and missed ovulation could be to blame. Have you had hormones checked? Not just sex hormones, but thyroid? Have you been checked for polycystic ovarian syndrome? Are you significantly over or underweight? All of these impact hormones and ovulation. I'd see a dr for the erratic periods and make sure it's clear how very irregular they are espcially if you want ti have kids. Good luck!

Yes, you could still get pregnant. You can ovulate and not get a period but you are still potentially fertile. Have you taken a pregnancy test? There are lots of reasons why this could happen and being pregnant is one of them.

If I was you I would seek proper medical advice, that is, go to see a doctor or nurse. Good luck.
