Copper IUDs and late periods?

Ive had the flexi T copper IUD for 5 or 6 months now and my periods have been regular up until this month, im currently 4 days late, and last week i had quite a bit of discharge on one occasion a bit of blood in the discharge, im tryinggg not to worry to much, give it another week or so til i panick lol but im wondering if anyone else has experienced something similar with the copper IUD and if its somewhat normal
