Posion Ivy...on my labia

Okay, so although I don't exactly remember where it could have been from, but I think I have posion ivy.  It's very possible since I've been wearing shorts lately.  It's the redish bumps that have turned more hard now so I think they've dried out on my lower inside butt area.  However, I think it has now spread to my labia!  Is that possible?  What should I do?  The bumps aren't as red and have a different texture but I guess they just aren't "dried out" yet... thoughts please

no, i haven't been wearing any pads.  Just a lot of shorts lately.. I thought maybe if i sat somewhere I could have gotten it without realizing so.  The only reason I'm weary to think it's anything else is becuase the other area around my butt that has it also.  It's low on my butt, close enough for contact to my genitals I guess but definitely close to my top thigh too.  I was even in a bathing suit the other day and it was visable.  I'm just scared for it to spread, if it really is poison ivy.  I read somewhere it wasn't contagious though, despite rumor..is that true?

also wanted to add, have you recently got off your period and had been wearing pads?  I know first hand they can cause a lot of irritation down below on some people with prolonged use.  After i had both my children, and had to wear them after delivery for 6 weeks, i would develope what i called a diaper rash.  little red bumps all around my bottom, lips, and vaginal opening area.  I went to the doc both times and was told both times it was a contact reaction more than likely from the pads and panty liners.  You retain more heat when wearing them.

Do you have poison ivy anywhere else? such as your hands? if not then i would guess it would be pretty hard to just get it in that area...unless you were getting down and dirty in the woods..lol..i would go see a gyno..it could be a number of things.  Some types of yeast infections cause pimple like bumps that can spread quickly.  They are external ones and develop after sweating and stuff like that.
