Pregnacy after Mirena

Hello everyone, I am a mother of 3 beautiful children, 2 handsome boys and 1 precious daughter.... I had my mirena IUD inserted 6 weeks after my daughter born June 6,2005, once my 5 yrs ran up I had a new one inserted June 2,2010... I have scheduled a doctors appointment June 3 this Friday to have it removed, because I would love to conceive another baby girl or just a healthy baby for that matter... I'm also very nervous and worried because I will be 32 in July an I have had the IUD for 6 years... So here is my question... Has anyone in there 30's an had there mirena IUD for 6 years or longer been able to conceive? If so how long did it take? An was there any complications... I'm getting so anxious and excited about having a new baby and being pregnant again but I don't want to get myself to pumped up before it even happens...   ;) I am so ready for another baby and my kids are so ready for another sibling... Thank you to anyone who takes the time to read this and reply to this...   ;)

Well the Mirena IUD has been officially removed as of 6-3-11 :), after 6 year (2 separate Mirena IUD's)... I am too excited to start ttc but my Dr informed me that I needed to wait at least 3 months and also put me on prenatal vitamins ... I so wanted to start as soon as possible incase it may take a while, an not quite sure why he suggested to wait 3 months, maybe I should have asked more questions... So do you think its a problem or would be a bad ideal if I go ahead start my prenatal vitamins, an start ttc? Thanks :)

I only had mine for 3 years but I am 31, and I have not been pg since 2005 when I had my first.  I conceived appox. 28 days after mirena was removed.  I am currently a little over 9 weeks pg.  I spotted like two drops of brown blood on my panties at 4 weeks but that was it.  Good luck, and ssbd to you.
