Random, intense increase in sex drive despite antidepressant use

I know this probably doesn't sound like a problem, but I have been on antidepressants since I was 29 and have had the typical sexual dysfunction side effects (loss of libido, unable to orgasm). I am now 37 and I have had a random and intense increase in my sex drive for the past week. Like insatiable, constantly aroused. I still struggle with orgasm, but was able to bring myself to one for the first time in years. My husband isn't complaining, but this is very distracting and I also have health anxiety so now of course I'm wondering if something is wrong with me. I have had no changes on my medication (zoloft), other than a dosage increase a couple months ago. Has this ever happened to anyone?

Believe it or not and do NOT tell my husband, but this happens to me occasionally.  My doctor told me it was hormonal y related.  It's not uncommon ,fairly normal.

Did the increase in your Zoloft come because it wasn't working as well? And did the increase seem to be as effective as before, or are you feeling like your Zoloft isn't working even now? If that's the case, maybe your body simply has started to disregard the Zoloft, and that is allowing your libido to come back.

At any rate, your ob/gyn could test to confirm your estrogen levels (are your periods about the same as always?) and also could check for something like an ovarian cyst, though the latter probably wouldn't affect libido.
