Looking for someone who has had surgery to remove a septum.  What kind of luck will I have? Will this help me get pregnant? Since I have had 2 M/C and a botch surgery last time. Please send me some feedback. My next surgery is March 21 and scared.

I have a septum uterus also.  I am 26 and lost a baby last October.  I found a doctor that gave me an MRI to determine that it is in fact the septum verses bicornuate and that surgery is an option for me.  I have read other sites from women that have had it done but I have yet to see someone mention the luperon (sp?) injection that they are requiring me to get 3 months before the surgery is to occur.  It is suppose to put me into a premenapuase state to think the uterus and make the surgery easier.  I am due to get this injection this week.  Does anyone else know about it.  Do I really need it and what kind of side affects are there going to be?  Like all the rest of us dealing with these types of issues I am scared.

I recently discovered I have a septum in my uterus; I also had a partial septum in my vagina which was surgically removed.  Before I found about about the uterine septum, I was able to get pregnant with a 9 lb. 14 oz baby who grew in one side of my uterus...it may be possible to get pregnant without surgery, but of course, every individual is different.  Good luck!

Just wanted to let you know that I had a septum resection in Oct. after 2 m/c. The surgery wasn't that bad, its very simple actually. I did have a "balloon" catheter inserted into uterus after surgery and also had to take estrogen for 30 days. Follow up saline ultrasound came back beautiful with no sign of remaining septum and uterus appeared larger. We are ttc right now...good luck! I'd love to answer any other questions you may have.

I have a double uterus, the way i understand it, I have 2 uteris that are fused together. not sure if thats the same as a septum in there, but i also have a double cervix and had a septum in my vagina. so like everything that i had was seperate. I got preg, and my baby was 6 weeks early and breech. My second baby was 6 weeks early and head first, but she came down so fast that it tore the septum out of my vagina. And i had a 3rd baby that was 2 months early and breech. I never had a miscarriage. I just wanted to share that with you, so that if you have the same thing i have, you know its possible to have a baby. All of mine are perfectly healthy, 11-7-4 years old now.
