Sex

Hey ladies, i just gave birth to my son 6 month ago and am still breastfeeding, the thing is i have no sexual desire whatsoever and i hate anything related to intimacy.

When my husband touches i feel like hitting him, it makes me angry sometimes i go a week without talking to him. Another thing i have 12 days perion span, is this all normal?  Any of you out there experiencing the same?

Oh, that was so me and lots of women go through this.  Besides the hormonal things, it's hard when you have a baby who basically is attached to you all day and you have spit up on you and dishes to do, etc. to feel very sexy!!

In all honesty though, try to push through it.  Try to still have sex with your husband.  I say that from someone who has been there and come out on the other side.  It WILL pass---  you will feel sexual again.

Try not to fight with your husband or give him the silent treatment.  It's really important when moms are carrying for young children to still stay connected to their husbands.  Because there is a scary statistic when you don't . . .   that once the kids hit school age, the couple divorces because of that disconnect.  have occasional dates (and these can be done at home while the baby is asleep . . .   a little snack, candle and a movie . . .  date night at home!!), try to talk about things not related to the baby all the time, have other conversations, try to have sex on a somewhat regular basis, and remember, he is your team mate, not your enemy.  He longs for his WIFE and loves the mother of his children but probably misses his wife if she is gone a bit right now with the baby.  Does that make sense?

I, again, so went through this.  My oldest is now 11 years old.  It's hard.  But try not to let it get in the way of your marriage.  good luck hon
