Small growth under skin in crease of upper thigh and vagina area

I have had this 'growth' in the inside of right where my leg meets my pubic area for months now- when I first noticed it I was concerned, but it went away after a week or so. Since then it's come back and has stayed and is making me very nervous. It only hurts when I push down on it. It is about the size of a pea, firm, and has appeared under the skin. Any insight on this would be very much appreciated!

We do have lymph nodes there.  It could be a hair follicle.  It could be a small cyst.  Those are ideas.  But if it only hurts when you push on it, don't push on it.  :>)  Mention it at your next well check with your doctor or physical.  good luck
