Stinging pain between the labia minors and majora

Hi there

Between the lips of my right labia minora and majora, I've developed a stinging pain at the fold. Skin is tender and only stings when I touch it. No itchiness is involved. Swelling developed over the night unilaterally (of the affected side), any idea what is it?

Hi there Bhupinder :)

Thank you so much for your reply! It really relieved me alot. Well, my condition has subsided, everything is normal (I dare not say cured lol). Due to panic, I took alot of antioxidants such as cranberry, honey with propolis, and royal jelly. I will be seeing my gynaecologist soon for a check up. Hope it was just like you said - chaffing, for my labia minora is larger than usual.

Thank you again for you reply :) it truly made my day :)

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
These symptoms can be due to contact dermatitis, allergic reaction or chafing. Wash the areas several times with fresh water. Do not use any cosmetic products at the sites. You can apply some calamine lotion at the rash as it will help in soothing the skin. Also wear cotton undergarments.Application of mild corticosteroid cream and oral antiinflammatories like ibuprofen/acetaminophen are also helpful. If the symptoms are severe then it will be best to consult a gynecologist.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
