Strange White Patches and pain

About four months ago I use an scented douche and I begin to itch and have white chunky discharge. So
I thought it was my body reacting to the scented douche being that i never use anything scented in that area. After looking online for direction, i concluded that I had a yeast infection. I took the seven day treatment and I seem to clear up pretty well, but i still had an itch. about two weeks past and I had the same type of discharge again, so i went to the store and got a three day treatment again the discharge went away but the itch was still there. About two more weeks go bye and i begin noticing that I had started seeing a white discoloration on the outside of my vagina and anus and between my butt checks. at first it was not that much and i can just rub it off... but when i rubbed it off it would come back almost whithin hours some times it was the next day... then  gradually it begin to get worst and worst to the point where my vagina was coated with this white shiny patch. And when i try to rub it off i will get red, raw, and sore. I had this problem for almost a month. Taking some advice I use peroxide douche which seemed to aggravate, and then i got a boil on my butt where the patch started to begin with. After the boil drained the white patches seem to go away but then one patch spread to my clit and hood to the point where it was  unbearable to move it. fast forward all the symptoms went away. I could have sex with any problems no itch, no pain. I thought I was good to go. Until a week ago the patches are back, the itch is back, the pain is back. The problem now is that the patches are started to effect the opening of my vagina, the patches make it hurt to have sex but when i rub the stuff off(the white patch) i feel normal. but the pain in my clit is some times unbearable. now the patches when picked at will cause tears in my vagina skin which pose another problem when it comes to using the bathroom..but my concern is that the patch in my anus and butt checks seem to be spreading and growing this white patch is also on the skin between my vagina and anus opening. I cant even use the soap that I have been using for years because it caused irritation.. I have no insurance and I am an unemployed.   One more thing, my mother and father did die from HIV. I was tested until I was 18 to insure that it was not pass to me. I not sure if that has anything to do with it.

This sounds exactly like Lichen sclerosus. Lichen sclerosus (LS) is a skin condition that makes the vulva look white, slightly shiny, and smooth. ... Lichen sclerosus can also cause the skin of the inner lips of the vulva to change and shrink or get smaller. In severe cases, scar tissue can form.

Did you get a diagnosis and has it gone away?

Ugh.  I understand.  many a place in my area has a sliding scale when someone doesn't have insurance.

Honestly, I would treat yourself again with the over the counter medication, consider vagisil as well.

Oatmeal is a remedy for skin issues like if you have poison ivy.  People soak in a tub to stop the itch.  You could try this.

good luck

You may still need to be treated for the yeast or you may have some other issue going on.  I strongly suggest you see your doctor.  good luck

Dear, NEVER ever douche.  that is the worst thing a woman can do.  It changes the balance of flora within our vagina and makes us ripe for a yeast infection which it sounds like you may have.  You should contact your doctor if this is your first vaginal issue such as a yeast infection.  he/she will either give you a prescription for an oral tablet you take by mouth that will treat the yeast systemically or he will advice you on the over the counter medications specifically for yeast.

Wishing you lots of luck and again, do not douche.  It is not good for women and doctors advise against it.  good luck
