Sudden onset of Abnormal menstruation at 16

Hey everyone. I am 16 years old and had my first period at the age of 12. It was always extremely regular, 28 days on the dot and it would last 5 days. I have always had horrible cramps for pretty much the whole 5 days of my period. In the last 4 months I've noticed really weird changes to my menstrual cycle.
First of all my period started coming only every 35-39 days.
And when it came it would sometimes last only 2 days or 8 days.
The awful pain I had gotten used to also went away. It's great but also weird. I barely get period cramps anymore. However, I get this other pain that is around pretty much all the time. It is a dull sometimes sharp pain in my lower abdomen. Around where I would get cramps but the pain feels different and it is around even when I'm not on my period.
I also get my period twice a month sometimes which is really weird. Like right now I'm on my period and I got it 2 weeks after it ended. Also, it is not going away. I've had it for 8 days and the bleeding comes and goes...
I am anemic and so weak all the time.
And now I also am nauseated all the time and can barely eat anything. I am loosing weight but my abdomen is super bloated. It looks like I'm 4 months pregnant and I'm a virgin so that's not an option.
I am also having UTI like symptoms that come and go. I feel like I have to pee every 5 minutes and it hurts to pee. Then the next day it goes away. This is a bit TMI and gross but I have pain inside my vagina. Like the opening. Not my urethra but my vagina. It doesn't ever go away. It hurts and it's really annoying. I don't know what this is just that it is so annoying and I have been to the hospital about the abdominal pain and nausea but they sent me home saying it's just a stomach bug. But it's not going away... any ways, I have talked to my mom about this and I'm going to the gynecologist at the end of the month. I just want to see if anyone else has had something similar. I couldn't help myself but to google search it and it comes up as ovarian cancer (which I am a risk factor for because of diabetes and my family history of breast cancer) and endometriosis. Thanks for your input ahead of time.

Hi hun. Let me first ease your mind by saying that you absolutely don't have ovarian cancer. However, as I was reading your story, I thought "Poor thing, she sounds just like me." I have endometriosis. My periods have always been weird. I would always get a period every month, but they were always between two and fourteen days late, and they were so very heavy. I don't cramp a lot from my period, but I get an unbearable pain in my pelvis after having sex if I'm about to get my period. You really ought to visit a specialist in this area to get a work up.

However, I'm not sure endometriosis would cause the vaginal symptoms you're having (although, I hate to say it, but I'm having those too! So who knows anymore? :P). It's entirely possible that you do have a bladder infection. How would you describe the pain in your vagina? Is it numb? Throbbing? Sharp? Does it hurt all the time or just when you wipe or come into contact with it? Any other symptoms of a possible infection, such as discharge, smell or itchiness?

Hi thank you so much for replying! I went to the hospital yesterday because I couldn't stop puking (I threw up 7 times in a row and I couldn't keep anything down). I got tested for a UTI there and the test came back negative but the urine test did show epithelial cells in my urine (I don't know what this means). I also had a lot of blood work done. Kidney and liver and pancreatic functions came back normal. My WBC was really high my leucocytes were 13,700 and my segmented neutrophils were 9,500. The doctor said it could be an infection. The pain I was having was extreme and didn't go away with IV ibuprophen. I am currently not on my period but I still get vaginal bleeding out of no where. The pain is in my lower abdomen and was dull and vague at first but is now sharp. I also had a CT scan which I haven't gotten the result back but the radiologist briefly mentioned that there was a lot of gas in my abdomen. I am back home and the pain is still very intense. I do get occasional vaginal discharge. Usually clear with brown or red lines in it. I am going to an endocrinologist next Tuesday and hopefully a Gynecologist soon after. I don't know what it is but I just want to get better soon. My abdomen is also getting more bloated near my uterus. It looks like I'm pregnant. My mom was even joking about how I have all the pregnancy symptoms. But she know I'm a virgin so we both know that that's not the case
