Three week period, extreme cramps, possible miscarriage?

Hi there
I've had my period for three weeks. It was a week late originally. I have never had cramps before. A week ago, every day i was having the worst cramps of my life. It has slowly dissipated and today was the first episode I've had in a few days. It makes me feel like throwing up and it feels like my uterus wants to squeeze itself to death. I think i had an early miscarriage but its continuing. Should i go see a doctor or continue to wait this out? Could it be something different?
Thanks

Go see a doctor for that if you suspect that you're having miscarriage.
