Unexpected bleeding, could it be another period or a miscarriage?

So about 2 in a half weeks ago I had my period for 5 days like normal, then 4 days later I started spotting, the spotting was light pink light brown, but had negative pregnancy tests.  Then it stopped after 3 days.  Well about 3-4 days ago I would randomly bleed 3-4 times during the day. Yesterday my blood was dark brown, almost black, and today it's bright red.  I haven't had any cramping either so I'm a little confused.

That is confusing.  I agree.  LOL  I don't know if you took a pregnancy test a bit too early to register.  Or if it is a chemical pregnancy (that we never even knew about before these home pregnancy tests got so accurate) . . .  but there is also a chance that your hormones are just out of whack or you have a simple, non serious and common ovarian cyst.  You probably saw your doctor after your miscarriage.  I'd give them a call and maybe discuss this with them.  I think it is time to do that especially if you hope to get pregnant again soon.  Let us know what they say!
