Vaginal Tearing

Hi, I'm a teen and I was masturbating and I jerked and ripped the vaginal opening and bled a lot. Im scared and I don't know what to do. Is it possible to avoid telling a parent? Should I?

Hi there and welcome.  I think you should be alright.  The vaginal area is self healing.  Women have babies there, right?  Small tears heal on their own.  If it seems worse or gets really sore like it is not healing or is infected, you have to tell your mother.

The above suggests to go to the ER, you probably need to tell your parents first, right?  They would probably suggest a doctor which is much less expensive than a non emergency ER visit.  (which is expensive, even with insurance, co pays are MUCH higher for ER visits and as a minor, they'd probably turn you away for a non emergency).

Do be careful and always respect your body.  good luck

Your vagina is extremely vascular. No need to worry, but of it continues for more than a day go to the ER, don't be embarrassed they're there to help you. If it goes away be careful next time!
