Vaginal bleeding for 3 months

Hi

I have been bleeding for almost 3 months straight. There was a 3 day period where I didn't bleed in the total time-frame. I have had an ultrasound done and nothing was found. The bleeding is extremely heavy and there are lots of blood clots. I do feel extremely fatigued quite frequently. I started taking iron pills which has helped with the fatigue, but the bleeding is not showing any signs of stopping. What could it be?

"Nothing was found" with the ultrasound, what does that mean, there was no uterine lining visible? Or they just thought the uterine lining looked normal? If they simply sent you home, that is very indifferent diagnosis. See if you can find a doctor who will order you a uterine MRI.
