Watery bleeding while on Nuvaring?

I just started the Nuvaring 3 weeks ago. I'll be taking out my first one tomorrow and inserting a new one right away. I think I've used it correctly so far. I inserted it on the first day of my period, and even waited an additional 7 days just to be sure it had kicked in before having sex without another form of protection.

Since starting, I've had alot of nausea, diarrhea, dark brown discharge, some cramping, and extreme mood changes. Normally I don't cramp at all and my periods are very light. Also nausea and diarrhea aren't something I normally have problems with, but it could be due to other medications I'm on (wellbutrin and metformin). I'm also not the type of person to cry ever, but lately I'll just start crying over random things throughout the day.

And now that I'm hitting the 3 week mark, I'm starting to notice that the discharge has changed from a tiny bit of dark brown to a lot of watery bright red blood. Not enough to need to use a liner, but when I actually use the bathroom that's when I see a lot of watery bright red blood. I did have sex 4 days before I'm supposed to take the Nuvaring out, and I wonder if that softened my cervix and caused this breakthrough bleeding? Or is this watery red blood, nausea, diarrhea, and mood swings all signs of early pregnancy? I took a HPT around week 2, and it was negative.

I'm hoping it is just my body getting used to the new level of hormones! But I have heard many stories of people getting pregnant while using Nuvaring. But since I've had varying degrees of bloody discharge since starting, I'm not sure how to tell if it's pregnancy or hormones.

Anyone have a similar situation? And what was your outcome?
