Why am I bleeding again a week after my period ended?

I am a teenager and have had my period for almost 3 years. My period has been regular for at least a year. My period ended a week ago and this morning I started bleeding again. Is there something wrong?

Hi there.  Sorry you have this.  So, let me ask you a tough question.  Are you sexually active?  Let me know the answer to that and we'll go from there.  But in general, spotting can happen when we have a blip to our hormones.  Sometimes it is from injury like masturbation, sex or something else.  Usually it is absolutely nothing to worry about.  But if you are sexually active and have had intercourse any time recently, then you should take a pregnancy test.
