Why is my clit sensitive?

HELP! About 3 weeks ago I saw two strands of hair under my clitoral hood. So I lifted up my clitoral hood and wiped it out, but I wiped my actual clit too hard. Ever since then I’ve been very sensitive depending on my movements. About a week after that I took a hot bath and my area SWELLED UP. So I let it be, and I’m slowly starting to be able to close my legs & sleep on my side as well as walk normally (still paranoid). I went to the doctor and she says there could be a cut on my clit from the hair. (No yeast infections or anything) I JUST WANT TO BE BETTER & NORMAL, how much longer do I have to wait? Is there nerve irritation? Or a small cut??

You know, best thing really is to leave it alone for now.  Perhaps you got a small abrasion from the hair situation or when you cleaned yourself.  It's a sensitive area to begin with.  And if you keep touching it, you risk transferring bacteria to it.  If it feels hot or if you have a fever, then you may already have an infection there.  But likely, it is just healing.  Next it may begin to itch which is a common thing to happen as something heals.  If this continues, go to the doctor and have them look.  Ibuprofen has anti inflammatory properties that help reduce swelling and there is always ice.  But keep your hands off the area as best you can and get it looked at if it continues.
