Thanks for the extra info.  Well, PID is inside and as you know, quite the infection.  This sounds like a bump under the skin on the outside.  I honestly don't think this has anything to do with PID.  You wouldn't have a herpes sore or anything would you?  Or a genital wart?  Have you had any STD screening?  Just asking, and hate to ask but would think that needs to be ruled out here.  We CAN get a bit of dermatitis that itches that is unexplained.  A bit of Cortaid on it may help.  But I think you are going to have to see a doc, I'm sorry.  Do you have anything like Planned Parenthood by you or a woman's clinic?

I just googled what a fourchette was!  Had no idea there was such a formal and fancy sounding name!!  So, first, don't feel around it with your hands. We have bacteria on our hands and any bump I that area can get infected.  So, is the burning when you urinate like 'ouch, urine has hit something" or burning like inside when you urinate?  Like when the stream of pee is coming out and especially at the end, it hurts inside of you?  Just clarifying.  You may have an ingrown hair or little cyst that is aggravated.  It will likely go away on its own but if it does not, you're going to have to have a doctor look at it.  Also, are you sexually active?
