Why is my period changing even though im on birthcontrol?

I've been on birthcontrol for over a year maybe even two. The past two months my period has started about 2 days early & end two days later. Could having sex a few days before my period be making it start sooner?

It's probably the pills you're on. I was on yaz for a few years, and then I switched. The new pills made my period crazy, but yaz made it come the same time every month. However, yaz made my periods last longer, and I would bleed on and off for a week towards the end of using yaz. Talk to your doctor if you you want to find a pill that will make your period more regular
