Wierd cycle

My period was four months Late. I talked to the doctor and they did a blood test which came out negative and a pregnancy test which came out negative. They then did a cat scan to achieve to see if had hidden kidney stones, but I didn't. The doctor said everything was fine. But when they did a **** test they said it was yltraces of blood and white blood cells in my ****. A week or two later I got my period on the 2nd it is now the 11th and my period is STILL on, I have blood clots and I bleed so heavy I change tampons every hour or two. What is wrong with me? Is it because I missed my period and my body is shedding old blood??

Oh and the blood clots are dark red almost blackish red to me.

And when they did the blood test they said that I wasn't pregnant because my hcg level was a 1 or I think they said 1 below. But the doctor basically said that I am not pregnant

I inserted a tamp last night and there was barely any blood on it. Took a shower and put another tamp in when I removed it it was full with a very dark red almost blackish blood clot in it ..

Hi there.  Blood clots like this aren't a worry and especially when it has been such a long cycle.  If they are bigger than a golf ball is when doctors want to know.  You may have a hormonal imbalance---  did they check your hormone levels?  Producing too much estrogen for example can cause long cycles like this.  You also could have a slow thyroid which is also well known for long cycles.  Now, it's been 11 days.  That's outside of normal and worthy of a check in with your doctor.  Then I'd wait to see if you normalize this next cycle.  If not, you may be a candidate for birth control pills to regulate you.  good luck

It's now been 3 weeks. The doctor said that I have anemia. Took iron pills but it increased the bleeding and caused alot of blood clots.
