Yeast Infection

I have had a yeast infection for about 4 months now. Probably one of the worst things that has ever happened to me. I still have no idea how i got it but it is awful. I have tried monistat, fluconazole, terconazole, and just about anything you can name i have tried it. My biggest issue is the painful sex, my boyfriend and I never had trouble before I got my yeast infection and now i feel like a virgin again, it is the worst. I am really running out of answers now. My Dr. is trying to get me to go on to a 6 month treatment of some pill and it just sounds awful and seems like it will be just another thing that won't work. Any answers or suggestions will be really appreciated.

Also if you are taking birth control pills that may be the cause!! If you are and if you notice that the yeast infection started around the time that you started taking the pills then it most likely is the culprit!! Have your dr change your prescription. I believe that's how mine started. I noticed that i was ok while on my period but when I started the pill again I would get a yeast infection. By the time I realized this however, it was too late the yeast infection was really bad and stopping the pill didn't help me much. But I'll never take that specific brand again and I will tell and new GYN never to prescribe me that brand.

Ok girl about a couple of years ago I had a BAD yeast infection! I believe that I was suffering for at least a year. Now here is my recommendation, stop having sex until you are clear of the year infection. He could be passing it back to you so you will never get rid of it if you don't stop. If this doesn't help cure it, and you are really really desperate, try this method: take a peeled garlic clove put it in your vagina at night, take it out in the morning, do this for a three days. This was the only thing that helped me, but I used it as a last resort because honestly I didn't want to put a garlic in my vagina.

You should try taking probiotic speciifcally for women as well as getting tested for hpv when you do your paps mear. Also a multivitimin suppliment, oregano oil suppliments and intravaginal only boric acid may help. You can find those at a local healh food store or on amazon.com. Always follow up with your doctor and make sure you test for everything.

You need to keep trying!  Untreated infections can cause further, more serious problems, so you'll want to continue trying things until you find something that works and finish the treatments out so you don't create resistant bacteria.  I'm sure tests have been run to rule out other types of infections, yes?
