about periods

Hi is it normal to have a period 2 days early and secondly what colour should it be as im having very dark red blood thick with no clots is it normal or is it a m/c? we have been trying 4 a baby 4 6 months after i was taking microgynon 30 and i found out that my mum couldnt take this pill either the doc says i should be pregnant by just weeks finishing this pill PLEASE help i dont think id cope if it was another a miscarrige. I need to know asap thanks, ceri

Ive used this monitor several times now 6 months this month is the 7th after my last post i did my test as normal and the fertility monitor started the test on day 1 as period and ever since that it showed low reading then on sat 15th showed peak,16th may peak aswell we made love on the 16th would we be lucky as we could end up pregnant as before it kept reading low readings on the monitor but lucky this month as it gave me a peak reading as before it was constanly low is this a good sign as we have been trying 6 months 7 this month what are the chances of being pregnant this time? please help as i need to know its driving me mad!!!!

The average couple has about a 20% chance of getting pregnant in any given month that features unprotected sex at the right time.  Maybe what your doctor was saying is that the hormonal effects of that pill would be out of your system in just weeks.  I am certain he did not guarantee that you would be pregnant in just weeks.  (In other words, there are no guarantees that you will get pregnant no matter what.)  It is definitely in the norm for someone to have their flow come on a day or two early.
