chest discomfort on left side and between armpit

Since October 2018, I’ve had problems with my chest. Been in and out of doctors, was told I had a viral infection so was given antibiotics and steroid tablets. This has now cleared us but I have also been diagnosed with asthma. I no longer have a cough or breathlessness but constant discomfort in my left side of chest / armpit and sometimes upper arm and shoulder. I had a chest x ray, ecg test and blood tests done in which all came back clear. I tend to feel this more so when laying down or sitting upright, I try not to worry about it but I can’t help as it’s been almost 4 months now. I also feel like my heart beats harder than usual and sometimes faster. I also get cold hands/feet at times along with pins and needles type feeling. Any help or suggestions would be much appreciated. Thanks!

You sound really uncomfortable and that stinks.  They have also given your heart a good observation?  If so and cardiac issues have been ruled out, perhaps you have something like pleurisy. https://www.webmd.com/lung/understanding-pleurisy-basics#1.  What is your doctor's explanation for this lingering chest pain?

They’ve ruled out any heart issues as my results from blood test and x ray showed no signs of a problem. I’m not necessarily in pain but just discomfort and it plays on my mind a lot. It sort of feels like I’ve pulled a muscle between my armpit and chest or bruised it but I’ve done no strenuous lifting or exercise to cause this. I just feel like my body is deteriorating, even recently my eyes have been constantly itchy when I wake up and my right nostril is blocked, and just feel like my body vibrates. I wonder if it’s anxiety also I really struggle to relax and think positively.
Anxiety definitely can cause psychosomatic issues like this.  You sound almost hyper aroused when you say you struggle to relax and that taxes your system. Have you ever talked to anyone about anxiety?
