My girlfriend and I just had sex. After three days of not being sexually active with each other her vagina smelled like a condom during and after intercourse. Why is this?

I have ran into this with my girlfriend as well and now I suspect that she cheated on me.  Is there any other possibility for it to smell that way?
I have been with my fiancée every waking moment for months.  The one time I leave her alone with other guys is the one time that I noticed that her V smelled like condoms.  What the hell else smells like condoms?!?  NOTHING I know of!  It's just too much of a coincidence.  I asked her and she said "Hell no!" & as much as I would love to believe that it just doesn't seem at all likely.  The thing that really sucks is that I didn't think she was like that & now I will just always feel disappointed.

If you were with her every waking hour for months, how on earth would she be able to meet anyone else and have the relationship progress to a point where sex was enticing? Sometimes women's vaginas get odd smells, being compressed into underwear and often pretty tight jeans can do that. I sure would not assume she took her one chance in months where you were not standing by her side and ran off and found someone to have sex with.
Also, if you read the posts at the top of the thread, you can see other women have had this and had not been having sex with condoms (one woman was even allergic to them) and were still accused by their paranoid husband or boyfriend of sleeping with someone else. If your fiancee said "Hell, no!" it sounds like you insulted her a lot. Please rethink your suspicious reaction. Condoms themselves don't smell much, but various products can, and bacterial vaginosis can have a smell and so can just the general bacteria in that area, and also the material in some stretchy jeans smells to high heaven of elastic. Try to think and  be a rational man. Don't just leap to conclusions and feeling sorry for yourself that you "didn't think she was like that" and "feel disappointed." I think you are misjudging the situation, and also that if you keep not believing her, she might begin to wonder if she really even wants to marry you. It's pretty insulting not to be believed about something so important. If you use your rational mind, you can see that if you two had been in each other's presence all the time for months, there wouldn't be any way for her to be developing a relationship with anyone else.

Oh my gosh ladies, I know exactly how you feel and I truely understand your pain! I have what to me sounds like a similar problem. I have frequent, uncontrollable swelling,...down there and that isn't the worst of it! What's puzzling is there are times after the swelling subsides when my body will actually give off an aroma remarkably similar to certain Versace and Ralph Lauren women's fragrances. Although rare, there have even been instances when the scent is very similar to women's fragrances you might  find at your local Kmart! What's  most embarrassing and is causing my spouse to not trust me is the occasional RED, almost waxy substance in my underwear coupled with the scent my body emits. I don't know what to do!!!! I know you're probably thinking you poor soul, right? All I can say is "It's HARD being me sometimes. Lol.
No you're not thinking that at all are you? We've all heard "if it looks like a duck, walks & sounds like a duck and if it SMELLS like a duck.....it's most likely a frik'n duck!!! AFLAC!!!! Lol
Ladies just as rediculous as my condition sounds to you, so do your attempts to explain away your behavior.
Want to know something interesting? After doing some research it seems that unlike cucumber, banana and polish sausage there wasn't a single case or claim of condom or latex scented vagina until, wouldn't you know it after condoms came on the seen. Wow, that's really odd?! LOL

At first we were taking garlic pills and there was no affect, but the a few months ago we changed the potency and it was a much stronger pill and it affected my husband as far as him having chest pains so he stopped taking them and I continued to take them and the pads, feminine sprays and lotions I was still using them not knowing they were causing more damage than good.

Hi A, Its like I said we are what we eat, the problem is if garlic does what she wants then perhaps the real thing is better than pills, but then you should know that, and yes it can give some real good wind from were we dont want it, but thats life.

And she is still not sure if that is the real problem, if shes a junk or fast food lover then it could be from that point she could also be looking at.
The only real way for her would be to cut back to basics with food and see how she goes, and start adding things in to see what kind of reaction she gets from them, its like hunt the food or a mix of foods that giving her the smell.

By the way if you want to create a good stink try eating garlic why having a day on bananas, O boy, clould nine has nothing on that stink, your on cloud 18.
Good Luck

Hey, garlic is great for some people, but not for others.  If it's causing her issues, then she shouldn't use it.  I can't have too much garlic, onions, or anything else in that family, especially raw.  It gives me horrible gas and diarrhea, and you don't want to get anywhere near me for the next few days if you have a working nose.  I love garlic, but I have to limit my intake, and I'm not the only person like that (if only they made garlic-o!).

Hi Unknown, Well they say we are what we eat, and what we eat can make the way we smell, cant see how garlic pills can do it, but try this as garlic is so good for us, I do this with it, I chop a whole head done very fine, I then put it in olive oil with dried parsley, lots of it, now this mix is very good for hypertension, and the garlic will do you good, just keep it in the fridge, you take it 3 small spoonfuls once a day wash each one down with water, your find as it keeps it gets sweeter.
Perhaps you can show him all what has come back, on here, shows your trying to get to the bottom of this smell and how its smelling like latex, but you cant be cheating on him as you get a bad reaction to latex.
Try going through what you eat and drink, try googling them for reactions to the female body, Bet its just a simple answer to it.
Good Luck

Yeah, bacterial infections can cause a bad smell.  I haven't heard of rubbery being one, but hey, I guess it could be.  You need it treated if it hasn't been already, although the treatment might come with the bonus rebound yeast infection.  Thankfully, that's just a maybe, and yeast infection treatment is less likely to cause a bacterial infection.  Yeast and bacteria are supposed to be in balance in the vagina, and upsetting either causes issues.

You just shouldn't use scented things on your vagina.  It's generally a self-cleaning system, and perfumes screw with that.  They can also cause irritation to sensitive tissues (can you imagine stuffing a scented tampon up your nose, or using perfume in a neti pot?).

I don't get why your husband would have trust issues for you smelling different after sex with HIM.  Condom smell doesn't last long, so it's not any indication that you'd be cheating him, never mind the fact that you're ALLERGIC to them.

I will try the pineapple juice.  I have also stop taking the garlic pills and using some of the feminine sprays. I think that may have been the cause and also the bv infection. The trust issues seem to be gone for my husband and I dont know what to do.

Idk if it actually works or not, I haven't tried it myself however I was watching the Kim & kourtney take Miami a couple weeks ago & the two had a contest with each other of whose feminine area smelled better after drinking lots of pineapple juice. Idk how they think of this stuff and like I said idk if really works, but its worth a try right. Drink lots of pineapple juice. Best of luck to u

my husband smells it and is determined that its from that. I went to the doctor and they stated I have a bacterial infection and it maybe from garlic pills, feminine sprays or soaps. I'm not using condoms and I dont know what the smell because it was only a few times.

Maybe the "condoms" smell is really a sex smell, or if you used lube, it could be the lube smell.  They make polyurethane condoms, which are latex free.  I believe female condoms are also latex free.  I strongly urge you to look into these, because condoms are so important for safe sex.

I dont know... if your vaginal area has come into contact with anything latex, that would cause an allergic reaction.  Are you sure that the smell is from latex, or could it be something else? - Blu
